What is a screwdriver drink?

A screwdriver is basically orange juice and vodka mixed together. The amount of vodka and orange juice used can be completely based on preference. It is often served over ice.

I love a tasty screwdriver, so I thought I should make a festive screwdriver. What could be more festive than cranberries.

This cranberry vodka and orange juice cocktail is pretty much your standard screwdriver, but this screwdriver recipe was way better than a boring old plain screwdriver.

Do you shake or stir vodka and orange juice?

You can shake this vodka cocktail with ice to really mix it well and get it ice cold, but I’m lazy. I usually don’t want to clean an extra dish if I don’t have to, so I just added the cranberry vodka, orange juice, and Grand Marnier to the glass.

How to make this Cranberry Screwdriver Drink:

Start with a couple ounces of the cranberry vodka and top it off with some fresh squeezed orange juice.

A little splash of Grand Marnier really finishes this lip smacking drink off.
Not only is it quite tasty, but it packs a great punch and its pretty. How can you go wrong?

Is fresh squeezed or store bought orange juice best with vodka?

You can use either fresh squeezed orange juice or store bought orange juice when making cocktails. Again, it’s totally a matter of preference.

Yum! I love addition of the cranberry vodka and the Grand Marnier! I could totally use one right now! It is crazy hot here!

  2. Tried this last night but got confused and accidentally added a bit of vanilla simple syrup in the end. The addition of vanilla toned down the citrus notes. All of a sudden it was something yummy but no individual components could be identified. Cranberry dreamcicle?
