Sparkling Cranberry Rosé is a festive, delicious, and incredibly easy to make cocktail that would be perfect at any Fall or Winter party.
When it comes to food and drink, this is how I usually prioritize: taste, quality, health, easy/quick.
Taste: This little cocktail is super tasty. You can’t really go wrong with you mix wine with juice and sugar, right?
Quality: This always depends on your ingredients, of course. I used a Sparkling cranberry juice that was 100% juice (i.e. no high fructose corn syrup or preservatives). I didn’t get an expensive Rosé wine, it was maybe five bucks, but it was of good quality. And the sugar cubes… I’m a sugar cube foodie snob. I prefer “lumps” over cubes. I always say, you can measure the quality of a restaurant by the kind of sugar they serve with their coffee. And if you were wondering – yes, I took these sugar cubes from the restaurant I had lunch at on Tuesday. I just threw them in the bag with my leftover boxes. I have no shame. You know that.
Easy/Quick: I don’t think this cocktail recipe could be any more easy or quick.
You’ll be the hit of any party when you prepare a dozen of these gorgeous cocktails and pass them around on a festive holiday tray. You can pretend they took you hours to concoct and you can even say that you extracted bitters from cranberries that you grew and harvested… only you can’t really taste the bitters because you did such a great job making them. Never would you need to tell them that it literally took you 60 seconds to prepare enough cocktails for the entire room.
You can totally make this drink non-alcoholic by swapping sparkling white grape juice for the Rosé. Is the lump of sugar at the bottom necessary? No. But it sure looks pretty and its nice to finish the drink with a bit of sweet at the same time you pop that sour fresh cranberry from the rim of the glass in your mouth.
