This sweet and sparkling Halloween Witches’ Brew made with four different kinds of fruit juice is a fun party drink for all ages and can easily be made into an adult cocktail too. All you need is a bit of dry ice to make it spooky and fun!
Why this recipe works:
Everyone will love this festive drink and it will soon become one of your favorite Halloween drinks! If you’ve been searching for kids Halloween drinks, look no further.
- This is a super quick recipe that makes enough for a crowd. You only need to measure two ingredients. Otherwise, it’s as simple as pouring and stirring!
- The combination of these four juices actually creates a wonderful flavor!
- When you combine sparkling juices with fresh squeezed juice, you get a drink that is sparkling but not super fizzy so all ages will love it.
- You can easily make this Witches’ Brew into a grown up version by spiking it with your favorite alcohol of choice, like vodka, sparkling wine, rum, or tequila.
Ingredients needed:
- 2 cups Orange Juice – you can use store bought or freshly squeezed
- 1/2 cup lemon juice – this adds just the right amount of tart; you can squeeze lemons or use bottled
- 1 bottle sparkling apple cider
- 1 bottle sparkling grape juice (I got mine at Trader Joe’s)
How to make Witches’ Brew:
- In a large punch bowl or large pitcher, simply combine all of the ingredients and stir.
- To create a Witches’ Brew effect, simply add small amounts of dry ice to the mixture. It will bubble and release gas. This will also chill the mixture without diluting it, so no regular ice is needed.
Quick tips:
- When adding dry ice, be sure to not fill your punch bowl or cauldron too full with the liquid because the dry ice will make it bubble over (I speak from experience).
- This drink can actually be made of whatever you want, but I found this combination to be best. The orange juice combined with the apple and white grape juices produces a cool orange-yellow color. Perfect for Halloween.
- Since this drink is 100% juice, if you find it to be too sweet, you can dilute it by as much as half with club soda.

- 2 cups orange juice
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 750 milliliter bottle sparkling apple cider or 4 cups apple cider
- 1 750 milliliter bottle sparkling white grape juice or sparkling wine
- dry ice
Instructions
- In a punch bowl or large pitcher, combine orange juice and lemon juice. Add apple cider (or sparkling cider). Add sparkling white grape juice (or sparkling wine).
- Slowly add dry ice to punch bowl or pitcher and ensure fluid level is not all the way at the top, otherwise the dry ice may make it boil over. Reserve small chunks of dry ice for individual cups (only if serving to adults – dry ice should not be given directly to children).
- Serve immediately. Makes about 11 cups.
