Enjoy staying hydrated with this Autumn Infused Water recipe with the fall flavors of apple, plum, pear, and cinnamon.
Why this recipe works:
Often times, when we’re looking for a good drink recipe, we overlook infused water.
- This recipe is simply a combination of water, my favorite fall fruits, and cinnamon sticks.
- It is incredibly easy to make and you can continue to add water to the fruit.
- The fall flavor is very subtle, but it’s good. If you aren’t great at drinking enough water, this may be a useful way for you to keep hydrated.
Here’s how to make it:
- Simply slice the apple, pear, and plum. Discard the seeds and pit, and add the sliced fruit to a jar.
- Add a couple cinnamon sticks.
- Then, fill the jar with water and keep it in the refrigerator.
Whenever you’re thirsty, pour yourself a glass and continue to refill the water so that the fruit is always submerged.
Feel free to add a squeeze of lemon!
My kids were so excited when they saw me make this water. In fact, they wanted it in their water bottles on the first day of school.
When I make my infused water, I always prefer to slice my fruit thin to expose as much surface area as possible to maximize the flavor. I’ve been feeling so good about myself lately having improved these habits!

What can you use in place of cinnamon? I have familt that is allergic.
You can always leave it out or replace with other fall spices like nutmeg, all spice, etc.
Is this a spring or fall drink
I like to drink it in the fall. -Krissy
I love flavored waters and it’s so much better to make your own than purchase them at the store. It’s how I get myself to drink more water as well. Love your autumn combo and can see why the kids like bringing it to school. My daughter does the same with her son so that he learns early how to drink the proper amount of water.
I am an infused water fanatic and this looks like a flavor combo I must try! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks for sharing! Are there any varieties of apple or pears that wortk well together?
It’s completely a matter of taste. I prefer sweet, juicy and a wee bit tart. Pink lady or honeycrisp apples and d’anjou pears are my preference.
Have you ever used frozen berries to make infused water?
I haven’t, but that would still work great!
How do the plums hold up overnight? I was thinking about bringing this to a party and I didn’t want it to look yucky. Thanks
With a squeeze of lemon, I think they should do just fine as long as it’s refrigerated.
This water sounds delicious! I love all-things apple cinnamon. It’s almost Spring but I’ll have to make this anyway!
Such a simple idea and I love it! I too do not drink enough water. I try and do well sometimes but then I get bored. This might be the perfect answer to drinking more water. My sister-n-law always puts lemons or cucumber in her water. That didn’t really appeal to me. This does. Thanks!
Hi! Could you let me know what apples you add, is it honey crisp, fugi?
Thanks!
Always honeycrisp! -Krissy
