If you love beer, cheese, and the flavor of ranch, then this easy to make chilled BEER CHEESE RANCH DIP should be the game day appetizer you make!

homemade Ranch Beer Cheese Dip with pretzel sticks

Why this recipe works so well:

  • It is super quick and easy to make. Just four ingredients that can be stirred together by hand or with a mixer. No cooking required.
  • The ranch seasoning is a super easy way to add some great flavor.
  • This dip goes great with crackers, pretzel rods, or vegetables like sliced peppers or carrot sticks.
  • This is pretty much dump, stir, and serve appetizer recipe.

Here’s how to make it:

  1. Add the softened cream cheese, grated cheddar cheese, and ranch seasoning mix to a large bowl. Besides the beer, the secret ingredient that adds all the flavor to this dip is ranch seasoning. 2. Mix all of these ingredients together. You can do this by hand or with a mixer. cream cheese mixed with ranch seasoning and grated cheddar
  3. The thickness of this dip depends on how much beer you add, so add some, give it a good stir, and then add some more if you think it needs to be thinned. The amount of beer you add will be determined not only by how thick you want the dip, but how much beer flavor you want to add. Mixing together Beer Cheese Dip with ranch seasoning

Quick tips:

  • Be sure the cream cheese has been softened so it’s easier to mix. I prefer regular cream cheese as opposed to lowfat.
  • I always recommend cheese that has been grated off a block instead of bagged pre-shredded cheese. It just tastes better, however you can use the cheese in the bag if it’s is more convenient.
  • Any kind of beer will work, but I find that a nice Amber Ale tastes best.
  • I highly recommend serving this dip with pretzel rods. Beer, cheese, pretzels just go well together. I have no idea why, but they do.

    1. I apologize for the delay in responding – I was away on vacation and summer with the family is always super busy. You can make it the day before but it is certainly best on the same day.
