This non-alcoholic kid friendly Virgin Mango Lime Margarita takes only minutes to make and is full of tangy sweet fruit that blends up perfectly smooth.
Why this recipe works:
This drink sure was a tasty treat. I made it for a few different reasons:
- Cinco de Mayo is coming up and I love any excuse to make a margarita. ANY. Excuse.
- With the exception of the sugar, this is basically a smoothie.
- Because there’s no alcohol, it’s a great drink for anyone to enjoy. If you want to turn it into a real margarita, all you need to do is replace the water with tequila!
The end result was a creamy, smooth, sweet and tangy glass of tropical perfection.
Here’s how to make this Virgin Mango Lime Margarita:
This recipe really couldn’t be more simple.
In a blender, process the frozen mango, freshly squeezed orange and lime juice, simple syrup, and water until smooth.
Because the mango is frozen, no ice is needed to make this a blended frozen treat!
Recipe variations:
- You can transform this virgin margarita recipe into any kind of blended fruit cocktail simply by replacing the water with your favorite alcohol. Tequila, rum, vodka and whiskey all work great and create very different tasting cocktails.
- If you want to use fresh mango, replace the water with ice.
- Although I recommend using freshly squeezed orange and lime juice, you can use bottled. You can also replace the lime with lemon juice, if needed.
Recipe Tip
For extra tropical flavor, make a batch of coconut syrup to swirl into the Margarita!

Ingredients
- 16 ounces frozen mango
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/2 cup simple syrup
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. If your mango is very frozen, you may need to add even more water to make it thin enough to drink, but I prefer this version and to let it melt as we drink it.
- Garnish with lime and enjoy. To make the adult version, just pour in some tequila and stir or blend.

it was really good! I had to add a little more sugar bc mine came out sour from all the lime juice I added. I added whiskey to my husband’s drink and he loved it!
Canโt wait to try! So hard to find non-alcoholic โcocktailsโ
This would be so fun at luncheons with friends!
Delicious! Such a refreshing drink. My kids loved it. I skipped the simple syrup and added some plain greek yogurt instead… and we had it for a breakfast smoothie! yum.
My family is all about slushy, fruity, drinks! I’ll have to make this on our next movie night! It’s so refreshing!
