Have you ever had broccolini? Its like broccoli, only better. I don’t know how to describe it other than its more tender. We are a garlic loving family, but only like broccoli and the like if its cooked perfectly.
If you despise mushy broccoli like we do, than roasting this dark green vegetable is for you. The process is really quite simple.
All you need to do is toss it in some oil and some minced garlic and cook it in a hot oven, turning just once to evenly cook.
The end result is a delicious dark bitter green vegetable that is bursting with flavor. It makes the perfect side dish to any dinner!
- 1 pound broccolini
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- salt and pepper, as desired
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, toss the broccolini in the olive oil and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a baking dish.
- Roast in preheated oven, turning the broccolini half way through the cooking time, for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
