When it comes to festive cocktails, this one checks all the boxes. It’s gorgeous, it’s simple, and the flavors feel like winter in a glass.
The deep red color from the reduced cranberry juice is stunning, while the orange liqueur adds just enough warmth and brightness. And when you top it all with chilled Prosecco? Pure bubbly magic.
Key Ingredients
A few good quality ingredients are all you need to make this cocktail taste (and look) amazing.
- 100% Cranberry Juice: Be sure to use pure cranberry juice without added sugar. It gives the perfect tart bite that balances the drink.
- Sugar: Just a little bit, used to turn the cranberry juice into a sweet syrup.
- Orange Liqueur: Something like Cointreau or Grand Marnier adds that subtle, wintry orange flavor.
- Prosecco: Light, bubbly, and a little fruity, Prosecco is what makes this cocktail so refreshing and festive.

How to Make the Cranberry Syrup
The syrup is what gives this cocktail its vibrant color and balanced flavor.
- Combine the cranberry juice and sugar in a small saucepan.
- Simmer over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes until it reduces into a syrupy consistency.
- Chill the syrup completely before using.
Pro tip: You can make the syrup ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve.
How to Assemble Your Orange Cranberry Prosecco Cocktail
Once you have your syrup ready and chilled Prosecco on hand, the rest comes together in less than a minute.
- Add the orange liqueur to the cranberry syrup and stir it well to mix the flavors.
- Add the chilled Prosecco to a glass or flute. Adjust the amount based on how strong or bubbly you want your drink.
- Slowly pour the orange flavored cranberry syrup into the prosecco.
- Garnish with an orange twist or fresh cranberries if you want to dress it up!
It’s basically a winter mimosa, but you’ll want to enjoy it well beyond brunch.
Tips for the Best Results
- Chill everything: You want your syrup and your Prosecco nice and cold before assembling.
- Use good Prosecco: Since this cocktail is simple, quality really matters. Choose a Prosecco you’d happily sip on its own.
- Batch it: If you’re making this for a party, you can easily scale up the syrup and orange liqueur, then top each glass individually with Prosecco for maximum fizz.
Storage and Make-Ahead Notes
You can make the cranberry syrup up to 3 days in advance. Just store it in an airtight container in the fridge.
Assemble the cocktails just before serving for the best bubbles.
