Why You’ll Love This Raspberry Mule

If you’re already a fan of the classic Moscow Mule, you’ll love how raspberries take it up a notch.

Fresh raspberry puree gives this cocktail a vibrant color and a juicy punch of flavor, while lime juice and ginger beer keep it bright and bubbly.

Vodka adds the kick, but you can skip it for a fun mocktail version.

What You’ll Need

This cocktail uses simple ingredients you may already have on hand:

  • Fresh raspberries: Juicy, tart, and perfect for blending into the drink. You can also use frozen thawed raspberries.
  • Lime juice: Adds brightness and balances the sweetness.
  • Simple syrup: Sweetens the raspberry-lime mixture. You can use store bought, but it’s super easy to make at home. I have a super easy simple syrup recipe you can reference.
  • Vodka: Use your favorite brand; something smooth and clean works best here.
  • Ginger beer: Choose a spicy, non-alcoholic ginger beer for that signature mule flavor.

How to Make It

Always refer to the recipe card below, but here’s a quick breakdown:

  1. Blend fresh raspberries with lime juice and simple syrup until smooth.
  2. Strain out the seeds and stir in vodka.
  3. Chill the raspberry-vodka mixture until ready to serve.
  4. Pour over ice and top with ginger beer. Cheers!

Make It for a Crowd

This recipe makes one cocktail, but it’s easy to batch for a party. Just multiply the raspberry-lime puree and vodka by the number of servings you need, then mix with ginger beer right before serving.

Large Batch Tip: Mix the raspberry-vodka base in a pitcher and keep it chilled. When guests arrive, pour it over ice and top each glass with cold ginger beer.

Recipe Tips

  • No blender? Muddle the raspberries thoroughly with the lime juice and syrup, then strain.
  • Hosting a party? Pre-freeze the raspberry base in ice cube trays to make serving even easier.
  • Want to keep it alcohol-free? Skip the vodka and pour the raspberry puree over ice with ginger beer for a super fun mocktail.
