Sparkling Red Sangria is made with your favorite red wine, a splash of orange liqueur, small bites of fresh fruit, and bubbles! The longer the fruit soaks, the more of the sangria will absorb! This recipe is a fabulously easy make-ahead cocktail and is perfect for parties.
750millilitersred wineone bottle, varieties can include merlot, pinot noir, Malbec
1applecored and sliced, any variety will work
1orangewashed, sliced and quartered
1/4cuporange liqueurCointreau or Grand Marnier
1/4cupapple juiceunfiltered recommended
proseccoquantity varies, can also substitute with sparkling apple cider if you prefer it sweeter
Instructions
In a glass pitcher or large container, combine all ingredients except for the prosecco (or sparkling cider, if using). Refrigerate a minimum of 1 hour, but at least 4 hours is recommended.
750 milliliters red wine, 1 apple, 1 orange, 1/4 cup orange liqueur, 1/4 cup apple juice
To serve, pour refrigerated sangria mixture along with a scoop of the fruit into an ice-filled glass. Top with sparkling apple juice or prosecco (amount depends on preference).
