From red, white, and blue treats to the best summer BBQ food, I’m sharing More than 25 Recipes Perfect for the Fourth of July.
Isn’t the 4th of July great? To me, its not only a time to celebrate this great country of ours, but its also a time to be outside enjoying fireworks as well as good food with friends and family. Its a time for celebration and fun. I grew up in California and because of potential fire damage, we were not allowed to even play with sparklers. If you didn’t get out to watch the city’s fire works display, you missed out on all the pyrotechnics. Not that I’m in Western Oregon, where its so green that a fire from personal fireworks is highly unlikely, we actually get to enjoy our own small fireworks right in front of our house without having to mess with traffic to see a big show. Neighbors will typically pool their money together and create a big block party that goes well past dark. Considering that we’re normally in bed before 9pm every night, it tends to be an evening where we expect to get a pretty poor night’s rest. But the fun and excitement on the kids’ faces make it all worth it. So celebrate our country, eat good food, and watch the fireworks fly! Happy Independence Day!
