Don’t let the summer heat interfere with you enjoying the best meal of the day. I’ve rounded up 20+ No Bake Desserts that your friends and family will love!
Having my own food blog has some serious perks. Of the dozens of reasons why I love my little hobby, one of them has been all of the awesome people I have gotten to know over the past year. Its one thing to get to know people online. You all know what I’m talking about. You know, the people you make Facebook friends with because you have a related friend or interest. I have lots of those now because of the food blog, however the ones I’m referring to are the people I’ve gotten to meet in person. In the Spring, I experienced one of the best weekends of my life at a food conference that was held right here in Portland – Indulge PDX. It was such an incredible experience and I loved getting to meet so many talented food bloggers. If you had any idea how much behind the scenes work goes into keeping one of these things active, you might just think anyone with a successful blog is the hardest working person you know. The two ladies that left the deepest impression on me were Sandra from A Dash of Insanity and Sarah of High Heels and Grills. I went to the conference with my good friend Aubrey of the mega popular Real Housemoms blog, and she and I instantly hit it off with Sandra and Sarah as if we had been best friends forever (to put things into perspective – that was a term I never ever use, just like LOL). Their situation was similar to ours where Sarah had a successful blog and she got Sandra addicted to blogging, just like Aubrey did me. Long story short, a successful blog requires positive collaboration with other bloggers, and I’m lucky enough to be in such good company. One of the awesome perks of being friends with such an awesome group of bloggers is that we can put together wonderful recipe roundups like this one! Expect to see awesomeness coming from this group monthly. Enjoy!
